Park Royal Class 103 DMU

DBMS  -  M50397

The Amman Valley Ralway has recently taken delivery of Park royal DMU, DBMS number M50397.

The Unit arrived at our Swansea restoration/storage facility on 21st June 2006. We hope to put an end to the units chequered past in preservation and give it the chance it deserves, to run once again, full of passengers. The unit is a rarity, being one of only two survivors, niether of which is in running order at present. It has passed through various owners who have done large amounts of work since its withdrawal from BR departmental stock. It nearly came to an end when the last landowner made it known that unless the unit was moved, scrapping would be the only viable option. The Railway made a plan to move the unit and we are pleased to say she is safe and well.

This page is only temporary and will serve and develop into a record of M50397's restoration, so that interested persons can keep track of work in progress.

More details will be posted - keep checking!
